NYSABA 37th Annual Conference on October 29-30, 2026

This year’s theme is Behavior Analysis for Everyone: Bridging Populations, Building Skills.  We invite you to bring your expertise and help shape the conversations among NYS behavior analysts!

We are accepting the following proposals:

Symposium
A 60-minute session incorporating a series of up to 3 presentations focused on empirical research/data-based presentations on a similar topic. Each symposium may include a discussant to summarize and discuss the topics, and address questions from the audience at the end of the presentations.
General Presentation- Skill Building Session
A 60-minute session focused on a skill building topic in applied behavior analysis. Skill Building Sessions incorporate hands-on or guided tutorials intended for problem-solving, identifying new strategies for clients and expanding behavior analytic scope of competence across varied topics, age groups or client needs.
Panel 
A 60-minute session featuring multiple panelists on a focused topic, emphasizing diverse perspectives, practical applications, and audience engagement. Each panel may include a discussant to summarize and discuss the topics, and address questions from the audience at the end of the presentations.
Posters
Posters are a visual presentation of research, case studies, or applied work, designed for brief, interactive discussion with attendees. Kindly note, this is an in person only presentation. 

Submission Guidelines:

  • Call for proposals opens: June 6, 2026
  • Deadline for submissions: August 1, 2026
  • Submissions will be notified by: Mid-Late August 2026
    • Accepted presenters must register for the conference by September 1, 2026
  • Submissions must be behavior analytic in nature and align with both BACB ACE Event Content Requirements and NYSABA Mission and Values. 
  • All entries must include a title, an abstract, a content area, three (3) objectives, assessment questions, citations, data, and speaker information. 
  • All entries must be submitted using the BehaviorLive platform. All presenters must have a BehaviorLive account, and all communication regarding submissions will occur through use of this platform.

  • Presentation Title
  • Abstract
  • Content area (Ethics, General, Supervision)
  • 3 Objectives 
  • 3-5 Quiz questions
  • Citation list
  • Data 
  • Speaker/s information, including Bio and headshot uploaded to behavior live 
  • Description of demonstrable expertise in the subject matter being presented
