Minimum of Master's Degree in Education, Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis
Board Certification in Behavior Analysis (BCBA) or qualifies to sit for BCBA exam preferred
Licensed Behavior Analyst in the State of New York, or qualified to complete supervision hours preferred
NY State certification in teaching students with disabilities
Experience working in inclusive settings
Knowledge and understanding of the Common Core Curriculum Standards (grades K-4)

Essential Functions/ Job Responsibilities:
Services to Faculty
Provide administrative, instructional, behavior and training support to faculty within assigned classroom
Provide ongoing training to all classroom staff in Applied Behavior Analysis, including direct data collection on staff in collaboration with Staff Trainer
Conducting direct observations of ABA instructors resulting in written feedback to the instructor
Services to Students
Oversight and supervision of criterion based assessment within classroom (e.g. ABLLS-R, AFLS)
Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments and execute corresponding Behavior Intervention Plans for students in collaboration with supervisor
Oversight of implementation, training, and development of behavioral interventions (FBA/FA/BIP) in conjunction with classroom supervisor and training faculty
Creating differentiated and engaging large and small group lessons based on the Common Core and student goals.
Write, review and edit IEPs, progress reports, schedules and all other student related documents
Participate in IEP meetings
Monitor student programming, data collection, and behavior plan implementation
Direct teaching of skills to the students
Daily graphing and data
Collaboration with Speech, and OT
Review each student's program book on a daily basis to make appropriate tactic decisions on all instructional programs
Prepare daily lessons, teaching materials, instructional programming, data sheets
Establish a daily schedule, classroom routine, and classroom management routines (i.e., for students and staff)
Ensures hands-on supervision of students at all times within the classroom, school building, and while engaged in community integration activities.
Services to Parents
Confers with students and parents as an integral part of the task of helping increase understanding, constructive participation in resolving the student's educational, home and community based needs
Establishes and maintains open, positive lines of communication with parents concerning programming
Preparing for and attending clinical team meetings
Communicate daily with parents regarding their child's progress within the classroom
Complies with and implements school policies & procedures.

Conduct weekly meetings with ABA instructors in classroom
Attend professional meetings to keep abreast of new information, regulations and technologies as they pertain to ABA

Exposure to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses
Exposure to students with a variety of problem behaviors that can include (but are not limited to) biting, hitting, kicking, throwing objects/furniture, hair pulling, scratching and other behaviors that may result in injury to others
The position also entails significant walking, bending, standing, stooping, and possible physical interventions in order to maintain a safe learning environment
Assignment may require the ability to physically move students or equipment, position students in specialized equipment, and/or change diapers or other personalized sanitary items as needed.
Must be able to assume a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crouching, sitting, standing, etc.) in the course of working with children with developmental disabilities and behavior problems.
Must be able to engage in crisis management holds/transport of students in the course of behavioral management
Must be able to work in a highly stressful environment while maintaining a calm demeanor throughout daily interactions with students, staff, parents, and visitors.
