Legislative Committee Update - March 2018
The NYSABA’s Legislative Committee has a new chair, Sally M. Izquierdo. Sally is a Doctoral Student in the Behavior Analysis Training Area at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Sally was asked to join the committee in 2016 as a legislative intern. Under the leadership of Kim Shamoun (chair) and Debbi Napolitano (co-chair), Sally gained knowledge and hands on experience developing many of the tools needed to advance the committee’s advocacy efforts. She will continue to move us further toward our goal of lifting the scope restriction for Licensed Behavior Analysts making quality ABA delivered by LBA’s accessible to all New Yorkers, not just those with a diagnosis of autism. A special thanks to Kim and Debbi. Their time, commitment, passion and contributions moved us forward to where we are today.
