It's Lobbying WEEK!

Fellow Members,

We are so excited to see and meet everyone this week at the conference. As you all know, the legislative committee has been working endlessly on removing the scope of practice restriction, however, we cannot do that without you!

We are a team, and a team succeeds only when each member contributes. Your contribution does count!

A couple of things to keep in mind this week:

1) It's lobbying week -- October 23-30, 2017.

GOAL: We need to get as many individuals/constituents to call their senators and their assembly members this week!

2) Good news: The legislative committee has prepared a panel discussion for this year's annual conference. Removing the scope restriction What YOU can do -- Thursday October 26th from 3:45 to 5:00 pm in King Street Ballroom at the Desmond Hotel.

Sally Izquierdo will lead the panel with some updates and information about the Licensure Law and how the scope of practice is affecting us.

Kevin Quinn our champion lobbyist will give us a progress update and explain to us how things internally work.

Katie McGowen, Stacey Trapani-Barber, and Niall Toner our panelists will share their experience contacting their legislators.

3) The legislative committee will also be setting up a table at the conference to help you call your senators and assembly members.

At the Legislative Committee table, we will have our computers set up so we can quickly access information about your senators, a video model on calling your legislators, and letters that you can sign and we'll mail for you! We also have reinforcers lying around, so be sure to pass by the table to earn one!

If you would like to access the video models now, not a problem, find them below.
