NYSABA Conference Success
In early November 2008 nearly 300 behavior analysts convened in Albany, NY for the 18th Annual NYSABA Conference. The annual gahering is the Association’s forum for spotlighting the best our field has to offer, including current research, advocacy for and policy important to behavior analysts, and for networking with colleagues and friends from around the state and region.ion.

Some of the highlights from our conference include nationally-recognized speakers Brian Martens, Ph.D. from Syracuse University; Ennio Cipani, Ph.D. from National University-Fresno; Steven Novella, MD from Yale University, and Andy Bondy, Ph.D., President and Co-founder of Pyramid Educational Consultants.  Brian Martens, Andy Bondy, and Steve Anderson gave us their considerations on the controversial topic of punishment on a panel moderated by Joanne Gerenser, we heard from Pat Geary from the NYS Education Department on important practice issues, and received an update on NYSABA’s legislative activities from the Legislative Committee, Kevin Quinn, NYSABA’s legal counsel, and Jerry Shook of the BACB..
